Since Children’s Hospital is a separate entity from UC, installing software purchased from UC on CCHMC owned computers is a violation of that license agreement. However, when purchasing from UC, the license agreement states that the software can be installed only on your personally owned or UC-owned computer and not on machines owned by other institutions. Please make sure you read the license agreement carefully before you use UC software.įaculty and students of UC are eligible to purchase software from UC. In many cases this software is licensed specifically to UC employees only (i.e., people who receive paychecks from UC) or must be run on UC-owned or controlled equipment, making it inaccessible to Cincinnati Children's personnel. The site licence is renewed annually on 14 February.UC researchers are served with desktop software by UCIT. GraphPad Prism is available at UQ for academic and non-commercial purposes. Expiry warning messages start from 30 days before the expiry date. Renewal is not automatic, so you will have to re-register to use GraphPad Prism every year. You can get a licence for home use from UQ Software Licensing and use the software until the annual licence expiry date. Students: you can use GraphPad Prism on your own computer for study purposes.Staff: you can use GraphPad Prism on your personal computers if you are paid staff, unpaid staff or an academic title holder.
If you have decommissioned computers that had GraphPad Prism on it, submit an IT request to let ITS know to remove it from the list of active installations. Only install GraphPad Prism where needed. The amount UQ pays for GraphPad Prism depends on how many computers the software is installed on. To install it on other UQ computers, contact your local IT support team or submit an IT request. Staff using ITS-managed computers can self-install GraphPad Prism using the Microsoft Software Centre or Mac Self Service. GraphPad Prism is available on all UQ computers free-of-charge.
